How an IT consulting engagement works
A first conversation, free
You tell us what decision you are facing or what worries you. Sometimes it gets settled there; if not, we come out of it knowing what needs reviewing.
A fixed quote
Based on the size of the installation, with the price fixed before we start. It is not billed as open hours: you know what you will pay before you commission it.
The review
Almost entirely remote, with read access to the systems and one or two meetings. If there are physical installations to see, it is done on site within the usual area.
The plan, delivered
A document you can read without being technical: the inventory, risks ranked by impact and a plan by priority with estimated costs. Carrying it out with us is optional.

- What does IT consulting or an IT audit cost?
- It depends on the size of the installation, and it is quoted as a fixed price before we start: it is not billed as open hours. You know what you are paying before you commission it.
- Do we have to tell our current provider?
- You don't have to. The review can be done with the information and access you hold yourself. If you would rather it were done with their knowledge and cooperation, that works too, and it is usually faster.
- What does an IT infrastructure audit review?
- Machines, servers, network, licences and contracted services: what there is, what state it is in and what it costs. It looks at what is out of support, what is misconfigured and what is unprotected, ranked by impact. The result is a plan by priority with estimated costs, not a shopping list.
- How is it different from a maintenance contract?
- Consulting is a one-off review with a deliverable: an assessment and a plan. Maintenance is an ongoing service, on a monthly fee, that looks after the installation day to day. They are contracted separately, and the audit does not commit you to anything afterwards.
